Call for Abstracts
 
We welcome proposals for paper / poster presentations discussing research in relation to any areas that fit within the theme of the Conference: "Chinese characters education and research.”
  • Abstract (including title and keywords) should be written in English or Chinese with 300 words at maximum. If it is written in other language(s), please also submit a version in English or Chinese. The abstract should summarize the purpose of the study, methods, major findings with evidence / examples. Please submit the completed ‘Abstract Submission Form (Paper/Poster)’ no later than 15 May 2013 (already extended to 3 June 2013).
  • Those full papers submitted by accepted presenters via email to ltcc4@hku.hk before 15 July 2013 will be included in the Conference Proceeding in CD format. Please observe the Full Paper Submission Guideline to prepare your paper. Please note that the submission of full paper is not a mandatory requirement. The paper should be your original work, except where due acknowledgement is made, and it has not been previously published.

Presentation Languages

  • Preferably Chinese (Mandarin) or English. If you use Korean to present, interpretation service during Q&A will be provided if needed. Please indicate this on the Abstract Submission Form if you require.
  • For those whose presentation is conducted in Korean, his/her ppt should have Chinese for reference. For those whose presentation is conducted in Chinese, his/her ppt should have English for reference.

Post-Conference Publication

  • Submission deadline will be announced later. Those papers which are recommended by two out of three anonymous reviewers will be published.
  • The papers should be written in Chinese, English or Korean with 8,000 words at maximum, preferably 6,000 - 8,000.
  • Both Chinese and English version of title, abstract and keywords must be included in the full paper.
